I re-purposed a human sized peasant top to make a doll sized one, and I really love the way it turned out. Then I made a long coat with wood grain print material inside, and a leafy vest with buckle. I finally figured out the easiest way to sew a fully lined vest too, so I think I will make another for practice with buttons on the front.
Also I bought a wig and these boots:

Preparing for my "Grail" Doll
On the doll forums we have a term "Grail Doll" and it simply means a doll that you have been wanting since it's release but never thought that you could own. In my case it was because the doll was very limited and very expensive. For the past four years I have been stalking and drooling over other peoples dolls, but now thanks to a wonderful seller and DOA I am able to bring my own Soom Chrom home. Currently he is half paid for and I hope to be bringing him home in mid-late October.
This is his sales picture, but if you want to see more pictures of the sculpt look it up on google, just type in "Soom Chrom".
I am not certain about his hair or eye color yet and I think I am just going to work with a few extras lying around the house until I have a definite look for him.
As for clothing he is going to have medieval/fantasy style clothing which is something none of my other large dolls have yet. I'm thinking about sticking with earth tones, greens and browns, and maybe blue.
I'm afraid to sew pants until he gets home because I am uncertain of the measurements but I think I will start off with some peasant tops and maybe a cloak style jacket with a hood.
I will post more pictures soon. I'm planning on doing some sewing tomorrow.
