When it is too hot to brave the outdoors sometimes it's nice to just stay inside and sew. Now that I have finished my swap projects, I think I will take some time to dedicate to my own dolls. I have a few fabrics laying around that I have been meaning to use.
One project I have in mind is for Charlotte and it will be a 1950's style dress. I am drawing inspiration from these designs:
I like the collar design on the first and the straps will be similar but wider on the top. I like the plain skirt from the second and the bow. I might draw up a sketch but I have pretty good idea of what I want though. The bottom shirt will be a circle skirt which is something I haven't made yet.
And this is the fabric I will be using:
The other project is for Tayler and it will be a summer shirt and a pair of capris. I want the shirt to be pretty basic because the fabric I am using is busy. I have an idea for that too but I can't seem to find a reference photo. The plain (and very bright) orange is for the capri pants.
