Clothes for London

I made the coat with real rabbit fur on the collar. It is my favorite jacket I have made so far. The only problem is Julia wants one now, and I hope I have enough fur left over.
Alex prefers that I cut him out of the picture with London's "frilly" shirt. Lol. Poor Alex is not really enjoying modeling, although he didn't really mind the jacket.
And here is his wig, which is wonderful! I'm so glad my Grammy convinced me to get the blonde one.
It's a very natural light blonde color. Sorry I don't have anyone to model it on but there was no way I could do that to Alex, and Suri looked terrible given the fact that she has a red head complexion. Tayler is blonde but too small...so yeah, going to have to wait for London to model it himself.

Renewal

Well among all my other doll news, I have come to a big decision.
I am going to sell Jensen in the doll that I have him now and re-buy him as a different sculpt. He is currently a Kid Delf Bory and that just isn't working for him anymore. Now that I have the other "little" kids I would like to make him older. I will be selling him to buy a Junior Delf Terra instead, something I have been thinking about for a long time. We are both pretty happy about the prospect of a new "shell" for him, but in the mean time it is hard selling the old one. I have had it for about four years now, but it's not as hard to say goodbye as I thought it would be. He gets so little "playtime" I feel sad for him, so I hope he will go on to a better home where he is more appreciated. I just know that an older Jen would make me more interested in his character like I was when I first got him.
If you stumble upon this post and are interested in a used Luts Bory feel free to comment and I can redirect you to my sales thread on Den of Angels.

Still on hair color

This is the style I am going for (please ignore this doll's zombie makeup, lol). I need another long haired guy, and I wanted his hair to have that crimp to it that Charlotte's has. Also it will go good with period piece type clothing.
As for the color I was originally thinking CocoBrown, but I have been convinced that EveCream might be better. Got to decide before next payday.
Her are his eyes too:
They are golden brown, and now that I think about it they would look nice with light hair too. I picked a light color because he has such small eye sockets they will need to show good. These ones are glass too, and reflect light beautifully.
My next step is to go through my fabrics and find some nice patterns for him. It gives me plenty think about while I am at work wishing I was at home sewing.

Hair colors

These are Leekeworld's hair swatches.
I'm kind of leaning towards BabyBrown, Maroon, ChocoBrown, or possibly NaturalBlack.
As far as eye color? No idea yet.
Maroon, or ChocoBrown are my top choices. As for style I'm thinking shoulder length like Sylas, but in a different style.

I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never thought I would actually win!
Souldoll is having their 10th Anniversary event and I was drawn out of all of the people (English site, Korean site, and Japanese site) who ordered dolls in February to win a free doll of the size I bought. They are having 10 winners every month this year, and they picked me as one of them! WOW!
I was prepared, and knew exactly which doll I would want, kind of like when you play the lottery and you think about what you would do with the money. Fantasizing really, but it came true. I have to say that is giving me a better out look of the whole year to come! XD
Okay so here is the sculpt:

Please ignore the very girly ruffles around his neck, really I swear it's a guy.
To match his sister (the doll I ordered to win him) I chose to have him in white skin too. I already have a souldoll boy in normal skin so I wanted his body to at least be a little different. They had a new body to pick from, but I don't really care for it so I stuck with the old one that Alex has. This way I can sew for him and use Alex as a model.
I'm thinking brown or black hair for him? And I'm not sure what style of clothes to go for...I'm going to rule out "sporty", maybe some nice button up shirts and vests for now. I am thinking he would look awesome in Victorian or Rococo style clothes though too, maybe every once in a while for something fancier.
I almost forgot to mention, his name is London.
Okay I will be back with progress reports, until then, Happy Dolling!

My Last "Planned" Doll

Okay so I won't say that she is going to be my last doll because you never know what will happen, but I bought my last "planned" doll on February 17th from Souldoll.com.
I have purchased from them before so I feel good about the quality and dependability of the company, however I also know that they can take up to four months to send you your order. Sigh. I have a lot of time to prepare.
These are the company pictures of her. Obviously, I will be going for a much different look but you can see her sculpt here. She is actually a character I have had for a while but couldn't quite find the right sculpt for, but when it is love you will know it and she is perfect.

The first thing I do when I get a new doll is make sure that they have some hair and eyes because I don't like them sitting around all bald and hallow headed.
These are the eyes I had bought for her when I bought her husband's body (River).

This is some lace I bought with her wigs, that I intend to add to some dresses for her. She is a neutral color, lace, and soft feminine girl. Since she will probably arrive in the spring I am sewing warmer weather clothes for now.

Julia is going to be my model for sewing as well as wig demos.
This is the fist little outfit I made, a peasant top with a drawstring neck and three quarter length sleeves:

However I really like this style wig on Julia so I am thinking I need to buy another in black for her, LOL. This is "slate gray" by the way. It is her long "pretty" wig that will be used for fancier dresses and pictures.
Her other wig is her default "fluffy" wig, which is the original look I had for this character.

It is "Royal Gray" and is more crimpy than wavy, and has bangs which are very nice and stay where you part them. This top was pretty basic to make and ties around the back of her neck with ribbon.

More info about Charlotte:
She supposed to be some sort of albino as I ordered her in white skin (my first, all the others are normal skin). Her hair is grey because of it's lack of pigmentation, however I have no logical explanation as to why she has lavender eyes...I just thought they would be pretty. I am also going to give her white applied eyelashes to go with her hair and very subtle brow hairs. She will be much different to work on than my other dolls, but I am really looking forward to seeing her final look.
